Alex Hernandez

Alex Hernandez is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of NORF Companies. In addition to NORF, Alex founded Hernandez Consulting & Construction in 2005, after serving in the military and working in banking. The firm was named by Inc. Magazine in the publication's list of 500/5000 fastest growing companies in the United States six times. At Hernandez Consulting & Construction, Mr. Hernandez manages projects for a number of government agencies, including the Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Veterans Affairs, the City of New Orleans, the State of Louisiana and a wide number of private commercial clients. He holds a General Contractor license for the firm in Louisiana, Florida, and Alabama.

 

Prior to starting Hernandez Consulting, Mr. Hernandez was an executive at Citigroup in New York working in alternative Investments, which included hedge funds, private equity and real estate funds. Mr. Hernandez began his career as a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps specializing in Logistics Operations. He earned a BA cum laude in 1998 and an MBA from Tulane University in New Orleans in 2003.

 

Mr. Hernandez sits on the Board of Directors of Strategic Investments SPC, an investment management company, and is a current and founding Board Member and former President of Delta Indemnity Group, a Grand Cayman based insurance company. He previously served on the Board of Directors for the non-profit organizations, Veterans Services of America, Inc. and Tulane Alumni Association and currently serves on the Dean's Advisory Council for Tulane's School of Professional Advancement. He currently resides in New Orleans and Miami Beach with his wife and two children.
